About Me
I'm Aisling, and I live in Mumbles on the edge of Swansea Bay in South Wales.
I am a non-binary trans feminine person. I heavily indulge in the 80s and 90s fusion jazz, vaporwave and insufferable left-wing hippy aesthetic. I am disabled due to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I practice Buddhism of the Plum Village tradition, but also enjoy Gelug metaphysics. Waves & Stillness is where that practice meets everything else I'm interested in - which turns out to be quite a lot.
On any given day I might be listening to Russian pirates bouncing chatter off Cold War era satellites, practicing kinhin and zazen meditation, beachcombing along the bay, or going down a research rabbit hole on fringe ideologies for reasons that are purely sociological, I promise.
Technically I spend time with electronics, SDR amateur radio, retro computing (there's an Amiga A1200 with a PiStorm on my desk), 3D printing, and whatever project has currently consumed my attention.
Politically I'm an left-libertarian socialist and a member of Plaid Cymru. Welsh independence. Cymru am byth.
